We will be holding our Exhibition at the ‘Bilingual Café’.
The format of the Bilingual Café will be a casual ‘talking shop’ event, hosted in the Geoffrey Manton Atrium. Tea and coffee will be served and all participants will be free to mingle and share their experiences at their own pace and preference. These conversations will be facilitated by MMU researchers with responsibility for the wider ‘Bilingual Café’ project.
The chosen topics are:
- Monday 2nd March: “Catalunya: Llengua i dialect”
- Monday 9th March: “Borders, Voting and Dis/Enfranchisement”
- Monday 16th March: “Barriers, Brick Walls and Filling Out Forms”
The cafes are funded by the Jean Monnet centre (http://www.manchesterjmce.ac.uk/) and students from MMU, UoM and Salford are invited.
More information can be found at: http://www.hssr.mmu.ac.uk/hip/201415-events/march-2015-multi-lingual-life/bilingual-cafes/
All the cafes will be conducted in English and are free to attend. Anybody interested should contact firstname.lastname@example.org and will be asked to fill out a short form stating their interest in the event.
